If you drive too quickly down Bankhead Highway, you might miss Alfred Blalock Elementary School. Our school is located one mile outside the I-285 perimeter in the northwest section of Atlanta. Blalock Elementary, nestled in the serenity of nature and the hustle-and-bustle of the modern urban milieu, is one of Atlanta’s best-kept secrets. The immediate neighborhood surrounding the school is that of an industrial office park, a small county airport, the Bankhead Courts apartment complex, and the Chattahoochee River.

The school’s mission is framed by the vision to create a warm, caring, and trusting environment, which stimulates and supports an effective learning environment for students and teachers.
