East Lake Work Day Project

Earth Tech gave a helping “Hand” to the beautification of East Lake Elementary School as part of the “Hands on Atlanta” workday project

Every day, in every corner of the world, thousands of Earth Tech architects, engineers, scientist, builders, researches, technology specialist and consultants deal with promises that clients make to customers, employees and local communicates through their infrastructure projects.  This year, Earth Tech employees volunteered to sponsor the East Lake Elementary School annual beautification project in conjunction with Hands on Atlanta.

This year the HOA focus was on the East Lake community. Earth Tech was joined by Home Depot sponsors and other volunteers in work at East Lake Elementary.  The project was part of Earth Tech’s continued commitment to improving the communities they serve.

The project involved laying new mulch on the playground, installing webbing on fences around the playground, replacing picnic tables, installing coat hooks in classrooms, painting new murals for outdoor “classroom” area and building and setting benches in concrete for classroom training with 3 locations around the school and across the street on the playground.

Hands on Atlanta is a non-profit organization that helps individuals, families and corporate and community groups find flexible volunteer opportunities at more than 400 service organizations and schools.

Earth Tech was one of many Atlanta companies who volunteered their resources and time for the “Hands on Atlanta” citywide cleanup.  For the past two years Earth Tech has directed the beautification of the East Lake Elementary school campus.
