A Message From the Principal

We would like to thank our parents for their contribution toward the beginning of a successful 2006-2007 school year. We certainly appreciate you for sending your children to school every day and on time ready to learn.  To this end, the buses are operable and on schedule.  Please          remember our goal of having fewer       students miss 10 or more days of school.  Not only are we grateful for our parents, our staff definitely has an abundance of vigor and enthusiasm. All of us have been working endlessly to make the school environment comfortable for our boys and girls.  Our academic and attendance data reflect all of your hard work and dedication and as a result, we made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for six consecutive years.  Thank you again to all of you!

Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 6:00 P.M., and we want a record number of parents, students, and teachers attending.  The kindergarten     students will perform, Ms. Theresa Bell will provide reading tips and strategies to help with improving reading skills, and students’ hard work will be displayed as a part of our Co-nect Project Showcase.  This night promises to be filled with learning.  Be sure you attend this important and informative meeting.

We are very excited to see more students wearing school uniforms.  We want more of our parents to consider dressing their children in the school uniform attire. Be certain to request a list of places to        purchase school uniforms or simply      contact Ms. Cynthia Perdum at Uniforms R Us at 404-219-3592. Our staff has made a commitment to wearing blue and white on      Mondays as our way of showing our     support.  We are all making the effort    towards uniformity, as we continue to be “A Place Where Believers Achieve and Succeed.”
