To bring into closer relationship the home
and the school so that parents and teachers
may cooperate intelligently in the education
of children and youth;
To develop between educators and the general
public such united efforts as will secure for
all children and youth the highest advantages
in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education;
To provide for the welfare of children and
youth in home, school, community and places
of worship;
To raise the standard of home life; and
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection
of children and youth
PTA DUES
Membership dues are $5.00 per person - $10.00
per family. A portion of those funds will remain
at Kimberly for use by the PTA for parent programs
and student incentives.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS
Parents are encouraged to volunteer in classrooms
and actively participate in school programs and
activities. Parents need prior approval from the
teacher before visiting the classroom during the
instructional program. Parents must sign in at the
front office and wear a visitor’s tag. Teachers
may select the time and activity that they would
like the parent to assist with. Parents must receive
prior approval from the principal and teacher before
volunteering in any classroom on a regular basis.
The administration has the authority to ask a parent
to leave a classroom if their presence becomes a
distraction during the instructional program. (See
