Southside Comprehensive High School DRESS CODE
BOYS
  • May wear khaki or dark slacks, walking or Bermuda shorts, shirts with collars (polo type or oxford dress type) tucked in at the waist with a belt.
  • Blazers, ties and business suits are allowed anytime, and encouraged for dress up days or field trips to special events.
  • Jackets must be without hoods and shoes must be worn at all times.
GIRLS
  • May wear khaki or dark slacks or capris, walking or Bermuda shorts, khaki or dark skirts.  All shirts and blouses must have sleeves and collars, tucked in at the waist with a belt.
  • Dresses and business attire are allowed at anytime and are encouraged for dress up days or field trips to special events.
  • Jackets must be without hoods and shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Shorts and skirt length must be no shorter than two inches from the top of the knee.
NOT ALLOWED
  • T-shirts, tank tops, cargo pants or shorts with external pockets, headwear or hoods, ripped, frayed, unhemmed, patched or torn clothing
  • Bedroom shoes, flip flops, or sleepwear.
  • Clothing with messages or advertisements
  • Split skirts or dresses, see through or skin tight clothing low-cut necklines, bare backs or bare midriffs
  • Sunglasses or bandanas
  • Necklaces and chains must be tucked inside the shirt, along with any charms, medallions, or name plates that may be on the necklace or chain
  • Oversized clothing
