Mathematics Program Mission

Our mission is to develop a world class mathematics program, comprised of exemplary staff that daily delivers standards- and researched-based quality instruction to all students, empowering them to develop numeracy, become critical thinkers, analytical problem solvers, and productive citizens, and high achievers able to compete in institutions of higher learning, and in the global job market.

Mathematics Program Vision

The Atlanta Public Schools Mathematics Program's vision is to assist every child in recognizing the power, utility, connectedness, and beauty of learning mathematics and engender in them the importance of life long learning. This global vision will be validated through the closing of the achievement gap, evidenced through steady improvement on standardized assessment, college entrance exams, exit exams and overall achievement. Our program will serve as a model of success for other urban districts.
